ED 714: Global Leadership & Policy
Summer 2024 Course Summary: Leaders increasingly work across national borders and in multi-cultural environments. Your effectiveness as a leader depends on how well you understand and are able to manage individual and collective behaviors in an intercultural context.The course will address leadership practices and theories within the contexts of countries around the world.An emphasis will be placed on developing cultural intelligence, building global context, and creating cross boundary partnerships and networks.An optional international leadership experience will apply global perspectives to leadership practices.
This paper synthesis my understanding of the four types of unconscious biases (Confirmation Bias ,Insider Bias, Attribution Bias, Overconfidence Bias) Â while answering the following prompts:
Describe how each unconscious bias impacts your practice as an inclusive global leader.
Reflect on your own strengths and weaknesses as well as the strengths and weaknesses of your organization.
Identify areas in which you or your organization can grow.
