ED 700: Leading an Organization - Theory, Practice, and Reflection
Fall 2022 Course Summary: This course provided an overview of the theoretical framework for the practice of leadership in organizations leading to the application of theory and best practices in your leadership practice. We will also focus on specific leadership topics such as strategic leadership, systems thinking, team leadership, change management and developing others. We will move back and forth between theory and practice and include opportunities for self-reflection and skill development
Personal Leadership Framework Paper: A reflection of my own leadership incorporating leadership theories, traits, styles, and relationships from the course readings and activities.
Case Study: An analysis of leadership in modern organizations, with an emphasis on the theory and practice in public and private organizations.
Leadership Self-Assessment Paper: A developed personal understanding and self‐awareness of my leadership style, and how to develop new skills and techniques to support effective leadership skills in myself and others.
Leadership and Organizational Culture Research Paper: An evaluation of the study of leadership in modern organizations, with an emphasis on the theory and practice within and organization of my choice.
