ED 704: Professional Collaboration and Engagement
Summer 2023 Course Summary: This course develops the leadership skills needed to initiate, build, evaluate, and sustain durable coalitions and community partnerships for effective collaboration. Tools and strategies that are necessary for leaders to guide a group, team or organization through a collaborative process will be explored. Collaborative and ecological systems-thinking leadership perspectives will be emphasized as well as presentation and communication skills.
For this report, I analyzed a case of collaboration at an organization based on the six assessment criteria: Assessing the Environment, Creating Clarity: Visioning and Mobilizing, Building Trust, Sharing Power and Influence, Developing People, and Self-Reflection
In this assignment I created a toolkit for training managers to help guide them through developing effective and sustainable teams.
The toolkit provides tips and exercises and templates for roles and responsibilities, vision and goals activities (SMART goals), a communication plan, and navigating conflict resolution.
This research paper assignment allowed me to fulfill that objective by reviewing an organization's collaboration culture to address the critical aspects of leadership and collaboration.
